Probably some of the biggest news in the modern era of sports. Who knows what will actually come of this and what will change in the future, but lets hope that baseball fixes its image. I always felt that this was the worst form of cheating and that there shouldn't be any tolerance for this no matter how good they player may be. In my opinion, I feel that if there is major evidence, this is worse than what Pete Rose did. I would hope to expect the same penalties here. Its too bad for some players, but this is the worst. This is the real cheating in sports. Not betting, not spying; this is terrible.
Mitchell report
I'm glad to see how he placed so much blame on the organization of Major League Baseball itself. The players are to blame, thats true, but the fact that MLB did not seriously look into this issue for so many years is ridiculous. I understand its a competitive league with billions of dollars to receive in revenue, but I guess that is enough to throw honor out the window and the whole history of the game. Because of this, baseball is no longer the sport that I used to revere as a kid. Now its just a shell of its former self, all about the bottom line. Let's see if Bud Selig actually does anything or just sits on it like he probably very easily could and 'hopes' everything will stop.
